USP Founder wins award

Unified Sports Program’s(USP) founder, Steven Berube, was awarded a Community MVP award by the New England Patriots on Tuesday May 28th at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.  Mr. Berube  created the USP in 2007, which help teach sports to kids with disabilities.  What’s unique about the program is that the kids play right alongside their more typical peers.  Along with a trophy to Mr. Berube, the Robert Kraft gave the Unified Sports Program a grant

of $1500.  USP will be using that money to help keep their program free to all participants.  In 2008 their programs will include baseball, sled hockey, Frisbee golf, candlepin bowling, swimming, rock climbing and flag football.  For more info on USP,  contact them via email at usp@comcast.net.
